个人简介:
Dr. Subbiah is the Kenneth E. Morrison Distinguished Professor of Food Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with joint appointments in the Departments of Biological Systems Engineering and Food Science & Technology. His current research focuses on food safety engineering. His current research projects include radiofrequency and extrusion processing for improving low-moisture food safety, multiphysics modeling for design of microwaveable foods, and pulsed electric field processing. He has pioneered research in the area of hyperspectral and multispectral imaging for predicting beef tenderness and has received multiple patents.
Dr. Subbiah has obtained his bachelor degree from Agricultural Engineering from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, India, his masters degree in Biosystems Engineering from University of Manitoba, Canada, and his doctoral degree in Biological Systems Engineering from Oklahoma State University, USA. He also worked as a research engineer at Oklahoma State University, before joining his current faculty position at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
